This adventure has seen its share of challenges and triumphs. Although we hoped that we would be in Mérida by now, we know that God is in control and we can see how he is working. We have settled on a date of December 15th and are so ready to get to work! Last Wednesday, we had our interview at the Mexican Consulate and our visas have been approved. Thank you all for your prayers. They are treasured!
Its easy to get overwhelmed and to question whether we can get it all done. But we are trusting God each day. Its funny, I’ve had many people tell me that God never gives us more than what we can handle, taking this from 1 Corinthians 10:13 when Paul is talking about the temptations that we face. But the truth is, God does allow us to be given more than we can handle. Because it is when we absolutely cannot do everything on our own, that we truly lean on God and that is when we become our strongest. Sometimes, stepping out in faith makes you stronger than you ever thought possible.
During the next month we will be working to finish selling and giving away our belongings, making travel plans and working diligently to continue our fundraising. We are getting close to our monthly support goal but are not quite there. Would you be willing to donate $10, $25 or $50 a month? We are also working on raising funds to purchase a van once we get there. Our home is still on the market, so please be in prayer that it sells soon!
